Diversity Hair Model Competition 2010

Thanks to the lovely girls at Clutterfly and their support, we are launching our own modelling competition! Everyone who enters receives free goodies to model (which you can keep!), You don’t need to be a professional model already! Just arrange yourself a professional shoot and have a go ? so go ahead and good luck! Get your friends to back you by suggesting our facebook page to them, the more feedback we get the better and the more exposure for you!

1st Prize – Diversity Hair Terror Pins and Rock Customs model, will have photos used on our website, Facebook and in promotions and advertising and be fully credited, this could include magazine and press releases. You will receive freebie new products when they are made to shoot with ? These products will include jewellery and accessories and on occasion clothes!

2nd Prize - £30 gift certificate for jewellery and accessories on site

3rd prize - £20 gift certificate for jewellery and accessories on site

Theme

The theme of the shoots is 80s Glam Rock and pop… so we’re looking for 80s pop/new wave/new romantic (think Visage, Bowie, Gary Newman, Adam Ant), 80s pop (Bananarama, Madonna, Kylie, Toni Basil etc) and of course our fave genre of all, 80s Glam rock (think Motley Crue, W.A.S.P, Aerosmith, Hanoi Rocks, Cinderella etc, big hair), also interesting backgrounds and props are fine.

To Enter

If you would like to enter then email jenna@diversityhair.co.uk with the subject line ‘Model Competition’, tell us a bit about yourself and include your style preference (80s glam rock, new wave or pop), favourite colours, name and postal address. You will be sent freebie items to shoot with, and the photos will be used by us on the site and will be the ones we judge for the competition. Two photos max per person.

The winner will be picked by us on 1st November 2010 from all entries, so get your entries in by October 31st.

All photos received (unless deemed unsuitable) will be displayed on facebook and our website with full credits to all involved in the shoots. All competition news and updates will be made on our facebook page.

Items to shoot with will be sent out from 10th September 2010, any photos submitted to us not using any of the jewellery and accessories sent will not be used.

Submitting your entry

Please email your entries to jenna@diversityhair.co.uk, and please keep them to an acceptable size (ideally no more than 1000pixels along the longest length, easily adjusted in photoshop) and include all credits including websites if they have them (photographer, model, make up artist, hair stylist and clothes if an independent designer).

Terms and Conditions

• You must be 18 or over.
• The person entering must be the model
• You have access to a photographer and provide professional shots*
• You must have permission from the photographer to use the photos and allow us to use them also.
• You have to arrange the shoot
• We dont pay for you to do the shoot or the model but you receive freebies from us for the shoot (this includes the prize, conditions are you get freebies and publicity in return for photos.
• If we deem the pictures unsuitable we reserved the right not to use them
• Please NO nude pictures.
• Two photos max per entry.
• One entry per model.
• You will receive the jewellery and accessories to model for free and you may keep them.
• Photos must fit at least one of the above themes.
• By entering, you agree to the photos you enter to be used by Diversity Hair on the website, facebook etc with credits to all involved in the shoot to produce photo. The photographer does still retain the copyright.
• The winner will be expected to act professionally when promoting our products, and we reserve the right to withdraw the prize at any time if we feel the model has acted or spoken inappropriately.
• Diversity Hair's decision on the winners is final

*Professional shots meaning clear, focused shots taken by a professional photographer, not home camera or webcam shots.
